The eighth edition of Sancharaka Udawa was ceremonly opened to the public by the Minister of Tourism Development John Amaratunga. Both outbound and inbound tour operators, tourism officials and other businesses in the industry participated in the event being held at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Centre on 4 and 5 May
