The 3rd Cultural Exhibition of countries along the Belt and Road was held from October 25 to 28 in Beijing, China with the participation of 40 diplomatic missions, including the Embassy of Sri Lanka.
The event, organised by the Beijing Foreign Cultural Exchanges Center, was hosted by the Beijing Municipality.The event provided participants and the public an opportunity for cultural and tourism interaction.
The Embassy of Sri Lanka showcased Sri Lanka’s tourist attractions, Ceylon tea and cultural heritage in its booth by screening promotional video clips, displaying posters and distributing brochures on Sri Lanka tourism among the Chinese and other foreign visitors. A Sri Lanka cultural and tourism promotional presentation and a traditional costume show featuring the Kandyan Sari were also held on the sidelines of the exhibition.
