Laws have been relaxed to allow foreign tourists to travel to any part of the island after receiving both vaccinations and ending the 14 day quarantine.
It is reported that the Director General of Health Services has issued the relevant circular to the provincial and local health authorities last week.
According to Dhammika Wijesinghe, Director General of the Tourism Development Authority, a tourist who has received both the vaccines and completed quarantine, will be able to travel in accordance with the quarantine rules, even during the curfew.
Meanwhile, 5040 tourists have arrived in the country during the last month.
Most of them were from Canada, Germany, England, India, and Pakistan
