A group of International Monetary Fund representatives on Sunday (14-May-2023) visited Galle Fort on a fact finding mission on the potential of tourism in Galle. Chairman of the Galle Heritage Foundation Dr. Nilan Cooray said the IMF representatives focused on the extent of contribution of tourism towards Sri Lanka’s endeavour to overcome the present economic crisis.  

He said the IMF delegation carried out an inspection of the development activities pertaining to tourism in Galle Fort and expressed their satisfaction and paid attention on future development projects as well. 

 
Dr Nilan Cooray and Project Officer Tharanga Liyanarachchi joined the inspection.
