Children in Sri Lanka’s Northern Province are still suffering from the country’s violent past. The civil war affected hundreds of thousands of people; families fled in search of safety, leaving their homes and livelihoods behind. With support of ALFA foundation Four Square Children’s Home taking care of 20-30 Youths.
Project Northern is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project run by House of Travels and Tourism (Private) Limited.
Recently the H.O.T Tourism Team visited Four Square Children Home in Jaffna and spent an evening with the children. Listening and sharing their stories was inspiring.
They have been gifted with stationaries and H.O.T Tourism volunteered to totally develop children’s home kitchen facilities.
H.O.T Tourism will focus more to develop responsible tourism to enhance life of local community and support local projects.
