The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Jordan conducted a tourism promotional event at the Embassy premises on 26 December
The event was held in the form of a discussion between a number of Jordanian outbound tour operators and the Embassy officials. During the discussion, Sri Lanka›s Ambassador to Jordan A. L. M. Lafeer answered the queries by the tour operators in regards to tourism in Sri Lanka.
Having spoken about various tourist attractions in Sri Lanka, the Ambassador mentioned that tourism is a growing industry and that it continues to attract foreign investors and tourists to the island. He added that over the last few years, many beautiful resorts, star hotels and spas had been opened. Various tour establishments of Sri Lanka offer visitors unique and memorable experiences, he further stated.
The tour operators, appreciating the discussion initiated by the Embassy, stated that they learned a lot about tourism in Sri Lanka and the world-renowned tourist attractions of the island nation, including the centuries-old culture and heritage. They maintained that this discussion would help them market Sri Lankan tourism products to their clients in Jordan.
The discussion was conducted along with a multimedia presentation depicting the beauty of Sri Lanka through the eyes of tourists from various countries and screening varieties of beautiful Sri Lankan destinations.
