The official\nlaunch of the Visa Fee Exemption programme for 48 countries<\/strong> was held\ntoday (31st of July 2019) at the Temple Trees under the patronage of the Hon.\nPrime Minister, Hon. Minister of Tourism Development, Wildlife and Christian\nReligious Affairs, the State Minister of Tourism Development, Wildlife and\nChristian Religious Affairs and industry heads.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This process\nwill commence from the 1st of August 2019 for a period of 6 months.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The list of Visa\nfee exempted countries are attached herewith for your information.  As per\nthe Controller General of the Department of Immigration and Emigration Mr.\nPasan Rathnayake, this facility could be obtained only for a period of one\nmonth and if desired to extend, the normal process applies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further, as per the Controller General, this facility could be availed through ETA and even from the special counter at the Airport, once the passenger arrives to Sri Lanka.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
